that even before your arrival, our staff has made
an impression on you by answering your questions
and arranging appointments on the phone. We are

Stacey Delveaux, Medical Receptionist is a self-motivated, organized, and proficient
receptionist who gives attention to details and
accuracy. The company benefits from Stacey’s
extensive background in managed care insurance
carriers both in and out of state, CPT/ICD-9 coding
system, posting charges, and following-up on payments.
Stacey updates her skills by attending seminars
and workshops provided by different healthcare
agencies. She plays a very important role in interviewing
prospective hires and training the medical receptionist.
Stacey’s years of dedication and loyalty
to Dr. Valentine’s practice stand tall among
her many positive qualities. (And if you’re
a fan of NASCAR, you have an instant friend in
Stacey!)

Trudy Dickens , Accounts Representative obtained a diploma in Medical Claims and Biling Specialist Sudies from U.S. Career Institute, Fort Collins, CO. Trudy is responsible for patient accounts from the time they are entered into the system until they are paid or closed out. She interfaces with all of the insurance companies on our patient's behalf in an effort to get maximum coverage with minimal out-of-pocket expense for the patient. Our patients can help Trudy in her efforts by being very precise about their insurance coverage and bringing cards to their visits. "Miss Trudy" has been a dependable, part of Dr. Valentine's practice since 1999 and enjoys working here because she feels good when she can help our patients resolve their billing issues. Her greatest satisfaction comes from the patient's smile and "thank you". During her off time, she enjoys reading and is involved in the Special Services Ministry at Little Zion
Missionary Baptist Church.

Valerie Nisewarner, LPN is a graduate
of Norfolk General’s School of Nursing,
Norfolk, VA. Valerie has provided quality patient
care within her scope of practice for over a decade.
She acts as a mentor, facilitator, and counselor.
Prior to joining the practice, she was a clinician
in NICU and newborn nursery at Children’s
Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Valerie states
that working for Dr. Valentine is the best decision
she made and especially enjoys the positive interactions with patients and the relationships with her co-workers.
Grace Muñoz, Medical Assistant received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
the University of the Assumption in the Philippines
in 1990. Grace adheres to established triage procedures
and is proficient in all aspects of medical assisting
especially in maintaining accurate records of
Pap smear results. Grace had experience in caring
for the elderly population before taking the position
in our practice. She is proud to say that Dr.
Valentine gave her the chance to be a multi-skilled
and focused Medical Assistant who is dedicated
to giving exceptional patient care.

Stephanie Ruffin, Registered Medical Assistant attended Fortis College in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and has a strong background in customer service. Stephanie is very detail-oriented in her attendance to patients and follow-up on mammogram results. She enjoys learning new things every day she is here and especially loves the interaction she has while caring for a diverse population.

Monica Davidson, Registered Medical Assistant graduated from Fortis College, Norfolk, Virginia in 2009 and is also a member of the NTHS. Monica finds fullfillment in her role as she cares for patients and ensures accurate post-operative follow-up is completed. She is especially skilled at providing comfort and helping patients feel at ease. When Monica is not at the office, she spends her time in a variety of activities with her Navy-husband and two wonderful children.

Bonnie Matthews, Ultrasonographer has been wielding the probe for more than 20 years,
working in a variety of settings including her
own business: Prenatal Imaging, Inc. She demonstrates
a great deal of knowledge in the current trends
of ultrasound. She is a graduate of Maryview Medical
Center School of Radiologic Technology, Portsmouth,
VA. Bonnie performs obstetric and gynecologic
sonographic examinations with a high degree of
proficiency and competency. She enjoys seeing
life begin, and it is a privilege to for her to
be a part of every event. She states that it’s
enjoyable to be a member of Dr. Valentine’s
family-oriented staff; “Everyone is very
professional, they work as a team, and they know
when to have fun.”

Bobette Shannon, Certified Phlebotomist, MA, LPN is an enthusiastic, organized, and experienced phlebotomist who received her laboratory assistant certificate in 1995 from Chicago, IL where she was born and raised. She has been a diverse asset to Bon Secours since 2005 and began working with Bon Secours Laboratory in 2009. We are fortunate to have "Bobbie" in our office as her skills are excellent, demonstrating expertise with "hard sticks" of all ages, from newborn to the aged. She is the mother of two bright & active children and feels that our practice fosters a relaxed environment which helps her perform her job with ease. |
